Bheema underwent basic medical training and his master’s postgraduate residency in Ophthalmology in India. He then moved to UK where he trained and worked in many prestigious eye units in the country.

He has been in Hamilton, New Zealand since 2008 and works both at Waikato Public Hospital and Hamilton Eye Clinic. His special interests are patients with retinal diseases, especially age related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He performs eye operations at Bridgwater Day Surgery and Waikato Public Hospital.
